Demolition Commences at 1000 La Trobe

Minor demolition works have officially commenced at Poly Australia’s 1000 La Trobe St Docklands commercial development, with local contractor CDL commissioned for the works.

The contractor will be removing remaining small scale structures throughout the site in preparation for excavation and piling works due to commence in June.

Poly Australia is set to develop a commercial project at the location, with the provision of retail spaces across the B1 and Ground levels of the 23-storey tower.

The development is designed with work/life balance in mind. Tenants will be able to enjoy casual food offerings, retail services, health and wellness facilities and co-working spaces all without leaving the building.

Its accessible location is a significant plus for tenants, located adjacent to Southern Cross Station, the free tram zone, Capital City Trail and just five minutes from the major City Link freeway.

With the announcement of the $225 million Marvel Stadium rejuvenation project next door, the area is predicted to become the next major activity precinct in Melbourne, substantiating Poly Australia’s move to launch their first Victorian commercial development in the area.

The development is expected to commence construction in Q3 2019.
